Streszczenie

The article is another contribution to the discussion about the still inadequately recognized gods of Elephantine. The considerations are inspired by remains of sacred buildings from the Ptolemaic-Roman period discovered on the island, and artifacts from other categories which attest to the religious activities of this cult centre. It is also a proposition to consider the Elephantine triad, Chnum, Satet and Anuket, as deities associated with primeval creation, guaranteeing its cyclical recurrence. It seeks to see the Elephantine triad as hypostasis of the one cause and protector of a proper annual flood of the Nile.
